Begin with one correct row
Enter a formula in the first target row and inspect the displayed value underneath it. Each input cell has its address as an accessible label, and the selected cell is the starting point for Fill down.
Choose an ending row below the selected cell. The fill action shifts relative row references by the distance to each destination while retaining dollar-locked rows and columns. An out-of-grid reference is rejected before the operation is applied.
Separate repeated row inputs from shared settings
Each quote line uses its own quantity and price, so those row references normally move. The discount rate in F2 is shared by all lines, so its row should stay fixed. The expression $F$2 makes that intention visible.
Try a deliberately unlocked reference and run the variant checker. Inspect the affected lower rows, then undo or correct the first formula and fill again. This demonstrates the consequence in actual computed values.
Keep the formula subset in view
The grid supports common arithmetic, comparisons, numeric aggregates and a small set of conditional functions. It does not accept external worksheets, named ranges, dynamic arrays or arbitrary Excel functions. Unsupported input produces an explicit error.
The limitations make the practice predictable. Use the saved workbook in a suitable spreadsheet application if you want to extend it, while remembering that this tool has only checked the declared local subset and cases.
